Automated Manufacturing System with Robotic Deburring and Vision System

Automated manufacturing systems offer flexibility and efficiency far beyond traditional material handling requirements. With the right level of engineering expertise, manufacturers can employ complex tracking capabilities and end-of-arm tooling to further reduce manual labor and ensure quality and a reliable process. The automated manufacturing system seen in this video features a gantry-style robot with vision system serving three Makino horizontal machining centers. The robot provides rapid part transfer between the horizontal machining centers and part stockers, locating parts with 3-D vision technology. Its end-of-arm tooling features a deburr function of completed parts and a vacuum to remove slip sheets between part layers on the skids.
